Team Machine's R/C Hobbies has a good showing the the 2008 Silverstate Nitro Challenge. With 300 entries and over 1,800 viewers, Gene Hickerson managed to bump up from the G-main all the way to the C-main with his CEN Matrix Pre before running out of luck. In 1/8 Truck, Hickerson qualified 17th and finished in the B-main with his Matrix TR Arena. WATCH IT LIVE!!! next time on http://www.rclive.com

Team Machine's R/C Hobbies wins again! At round #3 pf the FSORS, owner Gene Hickerson broke in qualifying and had to bump up from last in the D-main all the way to the A-main. Hickerson lead the whole 30 minute A-main until the last lap before dropping to 2nd after getting stuck in a mud puddle. http://www.fsors.com

Team Machine's R/C Hobbies wins their 4th Series Championship in less then 3 years! Owner, Gene 'the machine' Hickerson, won the 2007 RC Pro East Coast Series Championship last weekend in Savannah GA in 1/8 Expert Arena Truck with his CEN Matrix TR Arena FRE truggy. Machine's R/C Hobbies owner, Gene Hickerson, wins the ROAR FSORS Championship again for the 3rd year in a row! Gene The Machine TQ'd round 8 and took the Chmapionship in 1/8 Truck with his CEN Matrix TR Arena. Machine's R/C Hobbies, Kyle Sokol, finished 2nd in the series for a clean sweep with his CEN Racing Matrix TR Arena 1/8 Truggy. Team Machine's R/C Hobbies does it again. Jesse Olsen and Kyle Sokol both put their CEN Matrix buggy and trucks in the A-mains, while Gene Hickerson TQ'd and won 1/8 Truck at round 7 of the FSORS in Tampa. Round 2 of the RC Pro Florida Nitro Off-road Series was a great sucess in Miami last weekend. The CEN Nitro Invation saw the Souths best driver's competing for the title. Machine's R/C Hobbies team drivers put in a good showing again. Gene Hickerson qualified 3rd in 1/8 Pro Truck and 1/8 Pro Buggy. Andy Smolnik qualified 4th in both classes and finished 2nd in 1/8 Pro Buggy. Kyle Sokol also put his CEN Matrix TR Arena in the 1/8 Pro Truck A-main.

Last weekend at the 5th Annual Alabama Indoor Classis, CEN was well represented with 4 Matrix TR Arena's in the A-main with Andy Smolnik, Gene Hickerson, and Corey Johnson dominating qualifying by taking 1st-3rd. Fast upcomer, Don Carpenter, also put his CEN Matrix TR Arena in the Sprotsman 1/8 Truck A-main. In Expert Buggy, Gene 'the machine' Hickerson TQ'd round 1 with his Matrix, but it was Travis Scrambling who finished on the podium in 2nd with his Matrix. CEN Racing puts 8 Matrix cars & trucks in the A-main at round 5 of the FSORS. With over 180 entries, Gene Hickerson took 2nd place in 1/8 Truck, while Kyle Sokol, Tony Pattishall, and Tony Brown also put their CEN Matrix TR Arena's in the A-main. In 1/8 Expert Buggy, Hickerson stripped a servo while in 2nd, and Machine's R/C Hobbies newest driver, Travis Scrambling, alos put his CEN Matrix in the A-main. Not only did CEN cars do well in the Expert classes, but also in 1/8 Sportsman Buggy. Machine's R/C Hobbies owner, Gene "the machine" Hickerson wins again. Round 3 of the FSORS in Hudson had almost 200 entries again. Hickerson put his CEN Racing Matrix TR Arena on the pole again and easily took the win in the 20 minute A-main event. Machine's R/C Hobbies drivers Kyle Sokol, Jeff Keeton, and Jesse Olsen were in the A-main in 1/8 Truck as well.

Update 2-1-07

Last weekend in Tamap was the Team Losi Nitro Winter Champs. Team Machine's R/C Hobbies was in the show again. In 1/8 Truck, it was Andrew Smolnik in 4th, Gene Hickerson in 5th, and Kyle Sokol in 7th. Cen driver Chris Systma from NY was also in the A-main with the CEN Matrix TR Arena. In 1/8 Factory Buggy, Hickerson and Systma made the A-main event as well with the CEN Racing Matrix Pro.

Team Machine's R/C Hobbies dominates 1/8 Off-road again. Last weekend at round 2 of the FSORS in Ocala, Gene 'the machine' Hickerson TQ'd both rounds of 1/8 Truck and won the 20 minute A-main event. To top it off, Hickerson also won the 1/8 Expert Buggy A-main. Team drivers Kyle Sokol and Jesse Olsen also made the A-main in 1/8 Truck.

Gene Hickerson took TQ and 1st in 1/8th Truck with the CEN Matrix TR Arena Factory Race Edition. Team Cen Racing again shows that the Matrix TR Arena is the truck to beat. At the RC Pro Series Finals in Rockford, IL, all 3 Cen factory drivers put the Matrix in the A-main. Machine's R/C Hobbies Team drivers, Gene Hickerson and Kyle Sokol, put both their Cen Matrix Buggy & Trucks in the A-main at the $1,000 Futaba Nitro Challenge in Bossier, LA last week. Kyle Sokol took the TQ (pole position) in 1/8 Expert Truck and lead most of the race until having servo problems. In 1/8 Expert Buggy, he was in 2nd place in the 45 minute A-main when another servo failed. Gene Hickerson took 3rd place in 1/8 Pro Truck and took home the $500 check for 3rd place. In 1/8 Pro Buggy, Hickerson took 9th place with his Cen Matrix Pro. 3 Drivers from South West Florida finish in the Top 25 at the 2006 ROAR 1/8 Off-road Nationals in North Carolina last week out of 255 racers. JR Mitch, Gene Hickerson, & Leon McIntosh finished 18th, 22th, & 24th.

Machine's R/C Hobbies' owner wins round 1 of the Florida State Series in 1/8 Truck and takes 2nd in 1/8 buggy. The race was held at 555 Raceway in Bartow. There was 181 entries making this the largest FL Series race in history.

The ROAR Region 4 Champs were a great success. Machine's R/C Hobbies owner Gene 'the machine' Hickerson took 3rd place in the 1/8th scale buggy class with his Xray XB8. Jason Rona of JConcepts took 1st, followed by Thunder Tiger's JR Mitch in 2nd.
